I have not been using Facebook since Friday 11th February. It’s safe to say I was ‘addicted’ as not going on it for the first few days was really hard when it was in front of me and all around me. I had to delete the app off my iPod, remove the bookmark from my phone and hide the thumbnail on my browser but so far, I have not caved. I took a note of all the times I wanted to check the book. Not for any known reasons most of the time, just to see if anything is going on. If any friends have said anything funny… that’s about it. Really I don’t know why I use it so much as I just go on it and do nothing. For example, today I did 6 hours of solid work (making a database of my top 200 favourite films… that’s another story) when usually it would have been 3 hours of solid Facebook, 2 hours of a bit of work and 1 hour of looking at other websites. I plan to do something with the data after friday but for now I will post friday.
Times I wanted to go on Facebook [11/02/11]:
That was just for one day. Since then it has improved and today i only wanted to have a look 4 times. I have not had Facebook for 5 days and I learnt that I don’t need it to get by. I will, however, be thankful when it is back.
